About Us

Founded in 2005, Genetic Immunity is a leading biopharmaceutical company leveraging nanomedicine technology to develop Therapeutic Vaccines. Nanomedicines are an offshoot of nanotechnology: the name refers to highly specific medical intervention at the molecular scale for the treatment and prevention of chronic diseases. We discover, develop and work towards the commercialization of topically administered Therapeutic Vaccines. The targets of our research represent significant unmet medical needs and have the potential to become alternative treatment approaches. The Company's founders discovered our first, lead therapeutic vaccine candidate, the DermaVir Patch Patch, for the treatment of HIV/AIDS. DermaVir Patch is currently in Phase II clinical trials having successfully concluded preclinical studies and Phase I trials. It has the potential to be the first nanomedicine based immune therapy approved for the treatment of HIV-infected individuals. It demonstrated excellent safety, immunogenicity and antiviral efficacy in preclinical studies. Phase I/II trials to date have confirmed safety and tolerability and indicate the induction of long-lasting HIV-specific T cells.

Based on the success of our lead product candidate we have extended our research and product pipeline. We implemented the Nanomedicine Formulation Technology and the CE marked DermaPrep medical device, to cover the treatment and prevention of diseases such as Human Papilomavirus infection (HPV), dust mite allergy, and Chlamydia infection.
