DermaPrep

DermaPrep is a unique transdermal delivery device designed for topical administration of liquid formulations. It provides a safe, needle-free alternative to the traditional injection of drugs, biologics and cosmetics.

The DermaPrep delivery system consists of two critical steps - a crucial skin preparation procedure to facilitate the penetration of substances through the epidermis and a self adhesive patch to maintain a protective, moist environment to enhance efficacy.

DermaPrep has amassed significant quantities of data demonstrating its preclinical and clinical safety and tolerability. It is a Class I medical device in Europe (CE Mark).

DermaPrep provides a unique, non-invasive vaccine delivery solution to the formulation, manufacturing and regulatory challenges facing individualized Dendritic Cell-based and DNA vaccines.

DermaPrep is a Topical, Dendritic Cell Targeting Vaccine Delivery System

DermaPrep

Case Study: DermaPrep has been clinically shown effective as a transdermal topical delivery device in our own clinical trials conducted with the DermaVir Patch. It has been studied in combination with a unique vaccine nanoformulation technology - Nanomedicine - that converts antigens (e.g. pDNA, proteins) into pathogen-like nanoparticles to mimic a natural danger signal followed by pathogen exposure. The nanoparticle antigen of the target disease is complexed with a polymer and sugars to improve its stability and immunogenicity in order to protect it from degradation and to ensure its effective presentation via dendritic cells. This nanoparticle antigen is then delivered to the lymph nodes of the body via transdermal topical administration with DermaPrep.
